Carolina Beach, NC Memorial Day 2010

After traveling for four days to get home, I didn't think Eric was going to be up for much the next day. We woke up Monday and he said, "Let's go to the beach"! I was super excited and so was Marissa. What a great way to spend Memorial Day, epecially with our soldier! We packed up and headed to Carolina Beach, NC and stayed the night. Marissa and Daddy had a wonderful time playing on the beach and bonding together. We did however, start to notice that when she got sleepy she didn't want Daddy. She clung to me and didn't want him. I think it hurt him some, but he was trying to be understanding since I am all she has known for the last 9 months. We had a great time as a family and created some great memories!

She had the best time running to the water and then when it would come back in she would turn around and run away. She got the biggest kick out of it chasing her!

The next morning we went down to the pool after checking out, but unfortunately we didn't get to stay long because a big storm rolled in! However, the thirty minutes they had in the pool was a blast for Marissa. She loves the water!
